David Julian Baylor, Jr., 68, of Staunton, passed away, Saturday, February 17, 2018, at Augusta Health, Fishersville. He was born in Staunton on December 15, 1949, son of the late Elizabeth Nelson Baylor Fenwick and David Julian Baylor.
Dave was a 1968 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and attended Blue Ridge Community College. He was a customer service representative with Applied Technologies. He loved riding his Harley and taking care of his cats, Angus, Skye and Asia. He was an avid fan of the Redskins and NASCAR.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Roland M. Fenwick.
Survivors include Jamie Lynn Baylor, they had been married 16 years and had been best friends for 30 years, they were married October 1, 2001. Other family members include Donnie and Mary Obst who are in-laws; nephew, Mathew Lamb; niece, Jessica Jackson and a step-son, Daniel Parrish III. Also, a special friend, Cindy Lamberth; sisters-in-law, Patricia Holbert, Donna Gough, Tammy Harsh and husband, Ron, and Nancy Hipes.
Dave did not want a funeral where people came to mourn, so a Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018, in the Community Room at Springhill Village Apartments, 1701 Springhill Road, Staunton, from 12 PM until. Friends are encouraged to wear his favorite colors, orange and black. At other times friends may call at the home, 1701 Springhill Road, Apt. G-32.
