Dale Raymond Williams, Jr.

Dale Raymond Williams, Jr. 56 of Lyndhurst, Va. passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 30,2019 at Augusta Health in Fishersville, VA. He is survived by his mother Wanda J. Williams of Jacksonville, N.C., sisters Lisa A. Burch ( husband) Stephen of Crimora, VA, Teresa Lindsey (husband) Danny of Jacksonville, NC, brother Michael Williams (wife) June of Mt. Sidney, VA, and one son Brandon Ray Williams of Raphine, VA. He is also survived by a special aunt and uncle Mary and Edward Williams of Hubbard, OH, cousin Val Gochenour of Crimora, VA. Also surviving are his nephews Jordan Scott Lindsey and Jacob Dale Lindsey of Jacksonville, NC and his special pet (dog) Boo Boo. He was preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Viva Baker Williams of Lansing, MI, his father Dale R.Williams ,Sr. of Jacksonville, NC, sister Donna Kay Williams and cousins Doug Williams, Theresa Heywood and Parren Baker. Dale was a 1981 graduate of  Fort Defiance High School and served as manager for Shoney's , Inc for 34 years in Waynesboro, VA. Later he was also employed by the Kroger Company of Waynesboro,VA. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Augusta Health (Intensive Care Unit) for their wonderful, unfaltering care during his chronic illness. Special thanks also to his Pastor Larry Johnson and his wife Donna of Wayside Baptist Church In Waynesboro, VA for their spiritual care and guidance during this very sad time. Many thanks to special friends and relatives: Val Gochenour, Nancy Eavey, Elizabeth Snell, Patty Snider, Nellie Gochenour, Katrina Blosser, Tracey Rittenhouse, Violet Via and Jerry and Juanita Cline. Each of you know what you did to help and how much it meant to us. Please know that your acts of kindness will never be forgotten.
