Brenda Kay Johnson

Brenda Kay Johnson, 69, of Waynesboro, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 25, 2018.

She was born on June 25, 1949 in Panama Canal, Florida to the late mother, Betty (Farras) Mury P. Ham and her late father, Ted Higgenbothem

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, James Rodney Johnson and a daughter, Cindy Johnson.

She was a Nursing Aide at the District Home for 12 years.

She is survived by her son, Charles Eugene Johnson and a daughter, Lisa Kay Smith.

Grandchildren, Charles William Johnson and wife, Loren, Dakota Rodney Johnson and wife, April, KayCe Leigh Smith and Hayley Raine Johnson.

Great Grandchildren, Skylar Paige Johnson, Jace Michael Johnson and Chyanne Kaydence Adrian Johnson and a great great grandson, Cardell Vinton Briggs; sisters, Barbara Gene Coffie and Husband, Dennis, Beverley Ann Sprouse; nieces, Cathy Rochelle and Joana Sprouse; nephews, Philip John Coffie, Chris Coffie, J.W. Sprouse and Joe Sprouse, Jr. and many great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Drive, Fishersville, VA 22939.
