Billy Joe Hall

Billy J. Hall, 82, of Waynesboro passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at Augusta Health Center in Fishersville.

He was born on June 25, 1937 in Welch, West Virginia to the late Frank Hall and Coila Wiseman Hall.

Billy graduated from Gary High School, class of 1955. He retired after 30 years working as a technician with AT & T, Arlington, VA.

Billy belonged to the Kazim Shriners in Roanoke , VA; he was a member of New River Shrine Club “Mickey” in Character Unit, and a life member of Henry Knox Field  – John Blair Lodge #349 in Alexandria, VA. Billy was very proud of the trips transporting children to Shriners Hospitals, involved in over 100 trips. He also loved to bowl.

Mr. Hall was predeceased by his father, mother, three brothers, three sisters, and his daughter Vickie Harris.

Billy is survived by his wife Peggy of 62 years of marriage; his daughter Donna and  husband Bob Lightner of Waynesboro; son-in-law Mark Harris of West Palm Beach, FL; his five grandchildren, Ryan Campbell, Chicago, IL, Tyler Campbell, Charlottesville, VA, Andrew Campbell, Lake Monticello, VA, Rachael Harris, Staunton, VA, and Chris Harris, Mt. Crawford, VA; his two great-grandchildren Charlie Campbell and Shelby Campbell of Charlottesville, VA; his sister-in-laws Diane Bolton, Manassas, VA and Sandy Burkes and husband Chuck, Middlebrook, VA.  Mr. Hall is also survived by special friends Jack and Peggy Tabor of Aberdeen, NC, Mike and Pat Dix of Wytheville, VA; special niece Barbara Castle and husband Fred of Church Hill, TN and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life and Luncheon will be on Saturday, October 26, 2019 from 12 noon to 3 pm at Seven Arrows Brewing Company, 2508 Jefferson Highway, Waynesboro, Virginia.
