Barbara Anne (Norman) Thurston

Barbara Norman Thurston, 76, of Crimora, passed away, Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at her home.  She was born March 19, 1941, in Charlottesville, daughter of the late Kido Hobert Norman and Rachel Belle Fisher Norman.

Barbara, was self-employed in Body Reflexology where she was Masseuse and owner.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Wayne “Tommy” Thurston; one son, Dennis W. Thurston; one grandson, Thomas Allen Lucas; one brother, Randolph

Norman and one sister, Beverly Norman.

Barbara is survived by one daughter, Leslie Frazier of Amherst; one sister, Brenda Norman Stuart of Waynesboro; three grandchildren, Ashley Frazier, Brittany Ratliff and Adam Frazier; three great-grandchildren, Travis Frazier, Cody Frazier and Rachel Frazier and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at Augusta Memorial Park, Waynesboro, conducted by The Rev. William Strickler.  Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery for the service.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Monday, December 18, 2017 at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Dr., Fishersville.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Susie LeBlanc and Rita Zimmerman for the loving care and kindness shown to Barbara.
