Barbara Jones Hoy

Barbara Jones Hoy, age 46, of Waynesboro passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2019 in Staunton.  

She was born February 22, 1973 in Martinsville, VA .

Barbara graduated from Stuarts Draft High School and she worked in housekeeping.

She enjoyed crafts, reading, sewing, coloring, movies and she loved to cook. The Dallas Cowboys was her favorite football team.

She was preceded in death by her parents William and Rena Jones and her niece, Keri Ann Carter.

Barbara is survived by her sons Tyler W. Hoy and his wife Shana of Stuarts Draft, and Brandon W. Hoy of Waynesboro; sisters Belinda Jones of Waynesboro, Karen Shifflett and her husband Donald of Crimora, and Kimberly Sours and her husband Michael of Stuarts Draft; her nieces Renee Kite and her husband Chris of Churchville, Stacey Gore of Waynesboro, Jacqueline Shifflett of Grottoes, Laura Shifflett of Crimora, Sara Via and her husband Darren of Stuarts Draft, and Jessica Meadows and her husband Tyler; and numerous great nieces & nephews.

Barbara’s favorite quote was “Broken crayons still color”.

Family will receive friends Saturday, November 2, 2019 from 6 to 8 pm at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Dr. Fishersville, VA 22939.
