Tina Martin Spears

Tina Martin Spears, 57, of Waynesboro, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, March 21, 2024, after losing her courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Waynesboro on January 7, 1967, a daughter of Larry Martin (Carol) and Dorothy “Dot” Furrow (Randy).

Tina worked as a loan manager with Atlantic Union Bank until giving up the position to help take care of her beloved granddaughters. She was a member of Bridge Christian Church. Cheering on her favorite college team, the Alabama Crimson Tide, traveling to the beach, and spending time with her family were a few of her favorite hobbies. She will be most remembered for being a wonderful and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother.

Tina was greeted into Heaven by her grandmothers, Edith Gibson and Viola Martin and her grandfathers, Ralph Martin and Wilson Mawyer.

In addition to her parents, left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Dave Spears; daughters, Logan Rexrode (Dylan) and Kaci Rexrode; stepchildren: Ashley Driver (Josh), Brittany Spears (Marty), and D.W. Spears; grandchildren: Hasleigh, Ryleigh, Mason, and Kaylee; two grand-pups: Bama and Tide; siblings, Nicole Martin, Becky Cash (Mike), and Daniel Furrow (Jaclyn); as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Bridge Christian Church with Pastor Todd Brown officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. prior to services at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Tina’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105. Those that wish to send flowers to the family are asked to call Waynesboro Florist, who are close friends of the family.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Legacy Hospice, and to Pastor Todd Brown and the whole church family at Bridge Christian for their prayers and loving care for Tina and her family.
