William E. "Zip" Howard

WAYNESBORO – William E. “Zip” Howard, 66, of Waynesboro passed away Monday, Aug. 3, 2015, at Augusta Health. He was born Oct. 20, 1948, in Staunton, son of the late John and Callie Clark Howard.

He worked for Marvel Poultry and worked odd jobs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two children, three sisters and three brothers.

William is survived by two sons, David Woodson and Antonio Salisbury; a stepdaughter, Angel Medina (Salvador); a devoted friend, Ann Harris; four sisters, Mable Hill, Barbara Bryant, Judy Lemons (Samuel) and Sandra Johnson; one twin brother, Willis Howard; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015, at Beverly Manor Baptist Church.

Charlton and Groome Funeral Home is serving the family.

The family is receiving friends at his sister, Barbara Bryant’s home, at 839 Trout St., Staunton, VA 24401.
