Sonia Patrice Crawford

Sonia Patrice Crawford, 47, of Washington, DC formerly of Waynesboro, died on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 in Washington, DC after a brief illness.

She was born on July 8, 1970 in Waynesboro, VA to Roger Crawford and Ann Taylor Crawford.

She graduated from Waynesboro High School and attended college at Virginia State University and Southeastern University in Washington, DC where she received her bachelor’s Degree. She was employed at EPA as a Systems Analyst in Washington, DC for 25 years. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Cecil and Geneva Taylor.

She is survived by her father, Roger(Julie) Crawford; mother, Ann Crawford; brother, Scott Crawford; sister, Chiny-a Minnick; grandmother, Hattie Crawford-Kelly and grandfather, Ezell Crawford.

She also leaves to cherish her memory a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members and special friends, Georgetta, Crystal and Tracy Sease, special cousin, Hope Mosley and three loving aunts, Faith Taylor, Linda Blakey, Deborah Crawford, and uncles Van Taylor, Wayne, Rodney,and Ezell, Jr., Crawford.

The family will receive friends from 10:00am to 11:00am on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Shiloh Baptist Church, 234 Shiloh Ave. Waynesboro, VA 22980 and where a celebration of her life will be held at 11:00am.

Interment will be private.
