Shirley Aileen Marvec

Shirley Aileen Marvec of Mt. Sidney, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 19, 2017 in Fishersville.

She was born on February 1, 1943 in Smithfield, PA to the late Charles E. and Iola Mae Hillen.

She was a 1961 graduate of Albert Gallatin High School in Masontown, PA and a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Don and George Hillen; sisters, Jeri Mahan and Mary Jane Olsen.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph S. Marvec; sons, Edward Marvec and wife, Karen, George Marvec and wife, Eskie and John Marvec and wife Sirenia; grandchildren, Joe, Heather, Joshua, Megan and Steven Marvec; great grandchildren, McKenna Martin, Abigail Marvec and a sister, Ann Kerchner.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Drive, Fishersville, VA 22939.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00am on Monday, October 23, 2017 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 118 N. Augusta Street, Staunton, VA 24401.

Interment to follow at Augusta Memorial Park.
