Ruby (Newt) Henderson Carpenter, 65, passed on September 15th 2016. She was born in Irvine, Kentucky on October 22, 1950, the daughter of Darrell and Dovie Henderson.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William E. Norman; uncle, Lyle Henderson; brother, Leonard Henderson and sister, Linda Henderson Frazee.
She is survived by her son, William (Bill/Billy) Norman and his mate, Maria Ibarra; her grandson, William (Croz) Norman and his wife, Abigail; her brother, Doug Henderson and his wife, Kathy; nieces, Melissa and Michelle; nephews, Chad and Jimmy; her great granddaughters; Blythe and Hope Norman and special friend, Carl Bradley Jr.
Ruby, or as her loved ones called her, Newt or Kiley, spent most of her life in Richmond, Indiana until she moved to Staunton, Virginia in 2013. Newt has always been a beacon of unconditional love with an unwavering willingness to stand up for her loved ones. A loving enjoyment of hers to surprise people she cares about with food, gift, a soda or coffee. An energetic, fun, giving, avid follower of God. You could see the love for her family radiating from her. A kind, compassionate, and beautiful lady with a tremendous love for animals and a flair for making her surroundings welcoming, cute and cozy.
The memorial service will be at noon on Saturday September 24th at the Staunton Pentecostal Holiness Church, 540-886-2135, located at 12 Lincoln Avenue Staunton, Virginia 24401.
