Robert L. “Bob” Campbell

Robert L. “Bob” Campbell, 83, of Waynesboro, passed away, Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Augusta Health, Fishersville.  He was born July 7, 1930 in West Virginia, son of the late William Campbell and Eliza Ann Haught Campbell.

Bob was an Air Force veteran and served on the first-ever Air Force Honor Guard in Washington, DC.  He retired from DuPont after 28 years of service and was a member of Shenandoah Heights Baptist Church.

He loved hunting, fishing, “Law and Order” and “Jeopardy”.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Nira S. Campbell; two daughters, Beth Nuckoles and her husband, Jim of Portland, TN and Barbara Waite and her husband, Lew of Kalkaska, MI; two brothers, Dalton Campbell of Gulfport, MS and Walter Campbell of South Boston: two sisters, Evelyn Hartless and Rosemary Willis, both of Richmond and two grandchildren, Kyle Bradley and Leanna Ferreira and her husband, Trey.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A. M., Friday, July 26, 2013 at Shenandoah Heights Baptist Church, Waynesboro conducted by The Rev.  Dr. Paul F. LaPrevotte.  Military rites will be rendered by American Legion Post #340.

The family will receive friends at the church Thursday, July 25^th from 6:00-8:00 P. M..

In lieu of flowers the family suggest contribution be made to Shenandoah Heights Baptist Church, 901 Shenandoah Ave., Waynesboro, VA 22980.
