Raymond "Ray" Snead

Raymond “Ray” Snead of Waynesboro, died Monday, May 29, 2017 in Richmond.

Ray was born April 3, 1943 in Waynesboro to the late George R. and Mary Patterson Snead and a sister, Peggy Welcher.

Ray was a proud Veteran of the US Navy, he retired 2005 from Mohawk and he loved racing and fishing.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, June Snead; sons, Jeff Snead and his wife, Pam and Mark Snead; grandchildren, Ashley Snead, Justin Snead and Brett James; sister, Texie Snead; brother, Ernest Snead and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rays desire was to be cremated and a graveside 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Augusta Memorial Park conducted by Pastor Mike Wells.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
