Ray H. Weaver

Ray H. Weaver, 83, of Stuarts Draft, passed away, Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at his home, after a short fight with cancer.  He was born June 11, 1933, in Stuarts Draft, the son of the late Walter K. Weaver, Sr. and Tracie (Simmons) Weaver.

Ray was a well-known Auctioneer and he was always happy with his farm and his show cattle.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kay (Gardner) Weaver; his brothers, Wilson, James, Lester and W. K., Jr. and an infant and his sister-in-law, Grace Weaver.

He is survived by his daughter, Anita Faith Weaver of Stuarts Draft; his son, Forrest N. Weaver of Middlebrook; his grandson, Aubrey H. Weaver and granddaughters, Sydney Jo Weaver and Kristen Decker; two brothers, Vance Weaver and wife, Karon of Goshen, Indiana and Robert “George” Weaver of Staunton; two half-brothers, Jerry Weaver and wife, Ruth Ann of Blackstone and Kenneth Weaver and wife, Fern of Union Mills, North Carolina; two sisters, Ethel Ward and husband, Clyde of Linville and Anna Mast and husband, Fred of Amelia; one half-sister, Ellen Weaver of Amelia and two sisters-in-law, Ruth Weaver and Maxine Weaver.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Mountain View Mennonite Church, 55 Love Road, Lyndhurst, VA 22952, conducted by The Rev. Earl Monroe, Pastor.
