Michael E. Eavey

Michael E. Eavey, 47 of Waynesboro went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 24, 2017.

He was born on November 21, 1969 in Waynesboro to Dale E. and Nancy G. Eavey.

Michael touched so many hearts with his kindness, his laughter, his joking, his positive energy and above all else his beautiful smile. He was a mentor, father figure, caring, giving and loving man. Michael was an avid fisherman, loved being outdoors in God’s creation and the quietness of the lake. Fishing was truly his favorite place to be, as much as he loved to reel in a fish. He had a huge heart for animals especially his dogs. Michael will be remembered and forever kept in our hearts.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dale E. Eavey.

He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Letitia Eavey; mother, Nancy Gochenour Eavey; mother-in-law, Freya L. Poole; brother, Chris Eavey and his wife, Tina; nephew, Dale Eavey, niece, Kelsie Eavey; great nephew, Owen Eavey and a sister-in-law, Tiffany Poole.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Monday, February 27, 2017 at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Drive, Fishersville, VA 22939, and where a funeral service will be held 11:00am on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 in the chapel conducted by Pastor Mark Wingfield.

Interment will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.
