Mary Virginia Brooks Wilhelm

Mary Virginia Brooks Wilhelm, 89, of Staunton, went to be with her Lord Sunday November 22, 2015 at Augusta Health, Fishersville.  She was born July 30, 1926 in Rockbridge County, daughter of the late Sarah Lucas Brooks and Samuel W. Brooks.

Mary was a longtime member of Staunton First Church of the Nazarene.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Russell David Brooks and a daughter, Katrina Kay Brooks.

She is survived by her husband, William E. Wilhelm Jr.; her children, Joseph L. Brooks and wife, Phyllis of Staunton, Jerrylane B. Swisher, and husband, Randy of Conover, North Carolina, Jacqueline B. Robinette and husband, Kenneth of Staunton, Russell D. Brooks II and wife, Susan of Staunton, Stefan L. Brooks and wife, Dreama of Staunton and Kristina B. Sensabaugh and husband, Alfred Jr. of Rockbridge Baths; ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11 am, Saturday, November 28, 2015, at Staunton First Church of the Nazarene conducted by The Rev. David Bailey and Pastor Randy Swisher. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park, Waynesboro.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Friday, November 27th at the Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Drive, Fishersville and other times at the home of Joe and Phyllis Brooks, 413 McMahon Street, Staunton.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Memorial Fund at Staunton First Church of the Nazarene, 1307 W. Beverley St., Staunton, VA 24401.
