Larry Neal Jones Sr.

Larry N. Jones, 73, of Waynesboro, went to be with the Lord Monday, July 13, 2015, at his home.  He was born in Jenkins, Kentucky to the late James F. Jones and Helen Irene Houchens.

In addition to his parents he preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Jones and Robert “Bobby” Jones; two sisters, Janice J. Rose and Sandra Kay Wright; infant siblings, Carol Jones and John Paul; his oldest son, Larry Neal Jones Jr and son-in-law Curtis “Curly Joe” Mitchell.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cindy Jones; three children, Vincent L. Jones, Rachel Mitchell and Dona M. Lawson and her husband, Alan; two sisters, Patricia Shifflett and husband, Victor and Lana H. Vaughn; two sisters-in-law, Darlene Jones and Louise Jones; five grandchildren, Vincent L. Jones Jr., Samantha C. Mitchell, Chastity A. Jones, Curtis K. Mitchell and Kayle M. Lawson; two great-grandchildren and many, many special nieces and nephews and greats and great-greats and friends and past co-workers through the years and his devoted caregiver, Linda Bartlett and best friends, Debbie Barrett and Glen Bowers and lifelong companions, Angel Girl, Smokie Joe and the late Mikkie.

Most people that he touched he left them with a hearty laugh and life story or tall tale.  He will be missed.

There will be no formal services.
