Juanita Mae (Price) Johnson

Juanita Mae Price Johnson, 88, of Waynesboro, passed away at Augusta Health on Friday, August 4, 2017. She was born September 27, 1928 in Waynesboro, the daughter of the late Roy and Annie Hogsett Price.

Juanita worked for 16 years as a Charge Aide at Western State Hospital and for five years for Home Instead.  She was a member of Edward Avenue Baptist Church and formerly was a member of Gospel Light Church where she had served as a teacher and Secretary

In 1946 she married Homer Joseph Landram and had been married 32 years at the time of his death. In 1999 she married Bruce Johnson Jr., he passed away in 2012.

In addition to her parents and her husbands, she was preceded in death by five children, Thomas, Dennis, Joe, Donna and Ronnie; two brothers, Glenn Price, Stanley Price; granddaughter, Lanita Perry Wood; one great grandson, Coby Wood and two grandsons, Curtis Landram and Phillip Landram.

She is survived by her daughter, H. Joyce Landram; special grandsons, Larry Landram and Roy Dudley; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren including three great-grandsons; three sisters, Ruth Zimmerman of Staunton, Mary Jane Striano of Staunton and Nancy Heath of Grottoes; one brother, Roy P. Price of Oklahoma; many nieces and nephews and one sister-in-law, Ruth A. Bennet of Boston, Massachusetts.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am, Tuesday, August 8, 2017, in the chapel of Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Drive, Fishersville, conducted by Pastor Gary May.  Interment will follow in Fishersville United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 PM, Monday, August 7, 2017.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to a favorite church of your choice.
