John Davis Falls, Jr.

John Davis Falls, Jr., 67, of Rockbridge Baths, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at his home.  He was born on Rockbridge County, June 22, 1949 the son of the late John and Lula Bell Falls.

John was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran and had served in Viet Nam. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and dearly loved his five cats and gave them a very special home.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Wendy Falls.

He is survived by his three children, Kim Falls of Mt. Sidney, Valerie “Heidi” Simmons of Waynesboro and Jimmy Falls of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; a very special sister, Cathy Campbell of Rockbridge Baths; two brothers, Robert Falls of Glasgow and Mike Falls of Virginia Beach; five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 29, 2016 in the Chapel of Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Drive, Fishersville, conducted by The Rev. Michael Herring.  The family will greet friends at the funeral home following the service.
