Joe F. Hall

Joe F. Hall, 84, of Waynesboro, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 from his home.  He was born October 13, 1931 in Lyndhurst.

Joe was a service station owner/operator for more than 43 years in Waynesboro.  He was a member of Waynesboro Church of the Brethren and a U. S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.  He was an avid New York Yankees fan and he loved bowling, fishing and yard sales.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Katherine Allen.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Shirley B. Hall; his son, Kenny L. Hall and his wife, Sheryl of Waynesboro; his grandsons, Aaron Hall and his wife, Lindsie and Eric Hall and great-granddaughter, Olivia Hall, all of whom he loved dearly; a number of special nieces and nephews and a special neighbor and friend, Tony Deel.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Waynesboro Church of the Brethren, 364 Bridge Avenue, Waynesboro, conducted by Pastor Todd Crowder.  Interment will follow in Augusta Memorial Park with Military Honors by Waynesboro American Legion Post 340.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Friday, September 23rd at the Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Drive, Fishersville.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Waynesboro Church of the Brethren, 364 Bridge Ave., Waynesboro, VA 22980.
