Jerry David Floyd, Sr.

Jerry David Floyd, Sr. 76, of Waynesboro went to be with the Lord, Friday, January 19, 2018 at Augusta Health. He was born December 19, 1941, in Afton, son of the late Charles William Floyd and the late Clara Lee Henderson Floyd.

Jerry retired as a supervisor with E. I. Dupont where he was employed for 41 years. He was a member of Sherando United Methodist Church, a member of the men’s club and choir at church, and a volunteer for Augusta Medical Center. Jerry enjoyed working on old cars and going to car shows. He also loved camping, traveling and going to the beach.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John William Floyd, and two sisters, Nellie Lunsford Critzer and Ann Floyd Ward.

He is survived by his wife, Delores Jean Bailey Floyd; his two sons, Jerry and his wife, Jennifer Floyd, Jr. and Marco, and his wife, Suzie Floyd. He was the loving grandfather of 7 grandchildren; Jennifer, Amanda, Tabitha, Autumn, Elizabeth, Jake, Timmy, and Kimberley. He was also the great-grandfather of Trace, Reagan, Cheyanne and Emma Mae; and his loving sister Mary Floyd Anderson. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Sherando United Methodist Church, with a family gathering to follow with finger foods.
