Graydon M. Slusher

Graydon M. (Grady) Slusher, 87, of Middlebrook, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at his home.  He was born June 14, 1928 in Floyd, Virginia, son of the late Samuel Weslen Slusher and Mettie E. Harmon Slusher.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Allien Painter Slusher; six sisters, Louise Anderson, Edva Williams, Dot Spradlin, Virginia Fitzgerald, Minerva Coffey, Canary Snead and three brothers, Homer Slusher, James Slusher and his twin brother, Hayden Slusher.

He is survived by his wife, Louise Simmons Slusher; his four children, Marvin Slusher and wife, Debbie, Gary Slusher and wife, Wanda, Sharon Hansen and husband, Mike and Mike Slusher and wife, Cindy; his step-children, Diane Thorne, Mike Simmons, Dale Simmons, Donna Lambert and a very special granddaughter, Kim Lambert; four grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; seven step-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00am, Friday, July 31st in Augusta Memorial Park, Waynesboro.

Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery for the service.

The family is being served by Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, Fishersville.
