Donnie Layne Robertson

Donnie Layne Robertson, 54, of Waynesboro went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 5, 2016. He was born on June 21, 1962 in Staunton to Marion and Betty Robertson. Donnie was an Insulator. He loved going to church, loved watching the Miami Dolphins play football and the NC State Wolfpack play basketball. The family would like to express a special thank you to the many friends and Wayside Baptist Church for their loving care and prayers. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Joshua Layne Robertson; father, Marion Robertson; Half-brother, Bruce Nazelrod and a sister, Deborah Lynn Robertson. He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Kathy Robertson: a loving daughter, Candice Robertson. He planted the love of the Lord as a loving and caring “Paw Paw”, to his granddaughters Serenity and Harmony Robertson in their hearts as they were always in church with him. He is also survived by his mother, Betty McLear; brothers and sisters, Doug and his wife Cathy Robertson, Cindy Taylor, Julie and her husband Rick Rosano, Clyde Robertson; brothers-in-law, Timmy and Bobby Sullivan and Numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends that love him dearly and he will always be missed and in our hearts forever. A memorial service will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Wayside Baptist Church, 45 Turk Mountain Lane, Waynesboro, VA 22980.
