Dina M. Smith

Dina M. Smith, 76, of Stuarts Draft, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017 at her home.  She was born August 1, 1940 in Reno, Nevada, daughter of the late Onesto and Guilia Martinelli.

She retired after 30 years of service as a secretary at Stuarts Draft High School.

In Addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Blanche Martinelli.

Dina is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, James W. “Bill” Smith; her son Gary W. Smith and wife, Vivian; her daughter, Debbie S. Kennedy and husband, Larry; her three grandchildren, Tara Orndorff and husband, Chris, Chase Kennedy and wife, Ashlyn and Caleb Smith; her two brothers, Ernest Martinelli and Elmo Martinelli and wife, Nancy; sisters-in-law, Nancy Wilson and her husband, Mack, Goldie Ham and her husband, Robert and Mary Ann Huffman, and her husband, John and numerous other family members.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Augusta Memorial Park, conducted by The Rev. Rollo B. Castillo.  Family and friends will gather at the cemetery for the service.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Drive, Fishersville.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Augusta Health Foundation-Hospice of the Shenandoah, PO Box 1000, Fishersville, VA 22939.
