Chuck McCloskey

Chuck McCloskey entered into eternal rest surrounded by his family in Fishersville, VA, on Friday, September 29, 2017.

He was born February 11, 1954, in Carlisle, PA, a son of the late John and Mabel (Pat) McCloskey.  He was preceded in death by his sisters, Terri and Linda.

Chuck was a hardworking man.  He spent many years on the open road driving truck for Yellow Freight. After devoting thirty-two years driving for Yellow, he followed his dream and began driving his own truck for his company, C & K Trucking.

He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.  He loved working on the farm and spending quality time with family.  Chuck had a kind soul and big heart.  He was always there to lend a helping hand or an ear for listening.  He was the family patriarch who was looked to for advice and guidance.  His opinions were valid and most often followed.

Chuck is survived by his wife of twenty-five years, Katrina; his children, Angela (Todd), Joshua (Alice), Nicole and Nicholas; sister, Cathy; brother, Pete (Rebecca); seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Chuck will be missed but never forgotten.  May he rest in peace.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, October 7, 2017 in the Chapel of Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Drive, Fishersville.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to Augusta Health-Hospice of the Shenandoah, P. O. Box 215, Fishersville, VA 22939, would be appreciated.
