Charlie Pitzer

Charlie Pitzer, 45, of Staunton, passed away, Monday, June 1, 2015 at Augusta Health.  He was born May 20, 1970, in West Virginia, a son of Freddie Pitzer, Sr., of Staunton and the late Patricia Pitzer.

Charlie was employed by Hershey Foods of Stuarts Draft.  He enjoyed spending time with his niece, Jaden, riding his Harley and caring for his pets.

In addition to his father he is survived by one brother, Dale Pitzer and his wife, Tina of Verona; one sister, Stephanie Wimer and her husband, Jason of Stuarts Draft; a very special niece, Jaden Wimer, nephew, Tyler Wimer and niece, Skye Wimer.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, June 4, 2015, in the Chapel of the Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Drive, Fishersville.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00pm, Wednesday, June 3rd and other times at the home of Dale and Tina Pitzer, 143 Mill Stone Dr., Verona, VA 24482.

The family suggests that, those attending the family night or memorial service wear casual clothing and “Harley” items, if you have them.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Relay for Life, care of the “Hillbilly Walkers” Team, 1445 E. Rio Road, Suite 104, Charlottesville, VA 22901.
