Charles H. Haliburton

Charles H. Haliburton, 63 of Staunton passed away peacefully Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Augusta Nursing.

He lived most of his life in Nelson County with his foster parents Fulton and Teola Turner.

Charles was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan and he had a love of westerns, wrestling, and old school music.

In addition to his foster parents, he was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Haliburton, Sr. and Ollie Taylor Haliburton, two brothers, James Taylor and William (Bill) Haliburton, Jr., two sisters, Diane Haliburton and Lucy Haliburton, two grandsons, Jeremiah and TraeVonte’, and a granddaughter, Rosie Johnson.

He leaves to cherish his memory, three daughters, Latoya Reynolds of Staunton, April Clark of Charlottesville, and Rosie Clark of Waynesboro, a son, Jonathan Clark of Nelson County, four granddaughters, one brother, George Haliburton of Staunton, foster-sister, Katherine (Kitty) Turner of Madison Heights, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. He also leaves to cherish a devoted friends, Erika Johnson.

A special thanks to Hospice of the Shenandoah, the staff of Kings Daughters, Linda and the staff of Augusta Nursing and Pastor Mark.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday September 27, 2015 at 622A B Street (Patricia Carter’s home), Staunton.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at the Salvation Army Church in Waynesboro with Lieutenant Perdue officiating.

Those who wish to assist the family with final expenses, may make a memorial donation at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home.
