Buddy C. Mayo, Sr.

Buddy C. Mayo, Sr. 74 of Stuarts Draft, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2016. He was born March 9, 1942 in Augusta County to the late Clyde Mayo, Sr. and the late Fannie Henderson Mayo. Buddy was a proud veteran of the US Army. In addition to his parents he was preceded by a son, Buddy C. Mayo, Jr.; brothers, Tommy Mayo, and Clyde “Junior” Mayo; sister, Edith Fretwell. He is survived by his companion, Linda Bolton; daughters, Betsy Bolton and Michelle Mayo Gordon and other family members, Jennifer Hughes, Lynn Fretwell, Quin Aleshire and numerous grandchildren , nieces, nephews and his beloved K-9 kids, Nemo, Eddie, Bailey, Ginger and a cat, Macy. A special thank you to Christie Jackson for her wonderful care. A service at Arlington National Cemetery with military honors will be held at a later date.
