Betty Ann (Gibson) Day

Betty Ann (Gibson) Day, 59, of Waynesboro, went to her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Augusta Health Fishersville.  She was the daughter of the late Henry W. Gibson, Sr. and Dorothy M. (Terrell) Gibson.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Michael.

She is survived by her brother, Henry W. Gibson, Jr. and her sister, Bonnie Bryant both of Waynesboro; brothers, Kenny and Jerry Via of Pennsylvania; brother-in-law, Larry Bryant; special friends, Gary Fitzgerald, Elizabeth Snell, Tony Zimmerman, Katie Mawyer and Bobby Booth and her furry friends, Pee-Wee and Miss Kitty.

We, the family, wish to thank all of the Doctors and Nurses in ICU at Augusta Health and with a special thanks to Kari and Emily for taking care of our baby sister, Betty. God bless you all.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Oak Lawn Memory Gardens, 1921 Shutterlee Mill Road, Staunton.  Active pallbearers will be, Henry Gibson, Jr., Larry Bryant, Tony Zimmerman, Clint Snell, Jeremy and Christopher Hillworth, Charles Wolfe, and Tim Rexrode.

It was Betty’s request that there be no public viewing.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the American Lung Association, Donation Processing Center, PO Box 7000, Albert Lea, MN 56007-8001 or to a charity of your choice.
