Berlin E. "Bickey" Diehl

Berlin E. “Bickey” Diehl died on Wednesday, May 18, 2016.  He was born in Augusta County, VA, son of Silas and Pauline Diehl on August 6, 1933.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy J. Diehl, and his son, Sgt. Mark E. Diehl.

He is survived by daughter, Tina J. Savopoulos, her husband, David, and his only granddaughter, Katrina, of Midlothian, VA; another daughter, Beverly A. Diehl of Tampa, FL.; his sister and brother-in-law, Charlene “Peggy” and Johnny DeCamillis of Fishersville, VA, and daughter-in-law, Lisa Klein of Highland County.

He was a longtime member of Fishersville United Methodist Church where he was active all his life.  His greatest joys in life were his family, friends, gardening, and woodworking. 

A service will be conducted at Fishersville United Methodist Church by Rev. Ryan Oswald on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 11 am.  Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the Diehl residence in the Teaverton development in Fishersville from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. following the graveside service.

The family would like to thank the nurses of Augusta Health for their care of our father over the last several months.
