Anthony Cornelius Carter

STAUNTON - Anthony Cornelius "Ant" Carter, 44, of 926 Nelson Street, passed away Wednesday, February 6th, 2013 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.

Anthony Cornelius Carter was born on June 4,1968 in Richmond, VA. to Daisy Irene Carter and Charles Boyd Carter III. Anthony was baptized at an early age at Asbury Methodist Church.

Anthony was educated in the Richmond, VA, Oxnard, CA and the Staunton, VA Public School Systems.

While living in Staunton, Anthony met the Love of his life (Joyce) and made Staunton his home for the last 28 years.

Anthony loved spending time with his family and friends. He thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors; camping, fishing, gardening, and cookouts. He also had a love for music, pets and cars.

Anthony departed this life suddenly to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 6, 2013.

Anthony leaves to cherish his memory, his loving companion of 27 years, Joyce M. Bell of Staunton VA; one son, Corey Bell Carter of Staunton VA, two daughters Cortney Bell Carter of Staunton VA, and Krisilyn McCauley (Aaron) of Travis AFB, CA; Three grandchildren, Traeshaun and Marleigh Bell Carter,and Oakley McCauley; His mother Daisy Carter of Richmond, VA, his father, Charles Carter III (Colleen) of Monroeville, PA; two brothers, Christopher and Cedric Carter, both of Richmond, VA; Two step-sisters and one step-brother; three nephews and one niece; Maternal Grandmother, Ethel Brown; four aunts, Claudette Day, Anne Brown-Wilkins, Nealia Dabney and Cheryl Brown (Devoted); three great-aunts; two great-uncles; close cousins and host of other relatives and friends, among them devoted, Julia Bell, Michael Bell, Timmy Jones, Hubert Lawrence and Mr.& Mrs. Richard Bell.

A Memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Wednesday February 13th, 2013 at Allen Chapel Church in Staunton. The family will receive friends at the residence anytime.
