Adrian E. Barber

Adrian Eugene Barber, 58, of Waynesboro, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, March 04, 2012 at his home with his family by his side.

He was born March 9, 1953 in Harrisonburg to the late Alliston A. Gray and the late Angeline Barber.

He was employed for more than 33 years with Fitzgerald Tire in Waynesboro and he loved his cars.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Allison Barber.

He is survived by his two daughters, Amy E. Barber and her husband, Chad Anderson of Crimora and Ann Barber of Waynesboro; two grandchildren, Angel Barber and Kenny Truslow of Waynesboro; the mother of his children, Sandra Barber of Waynesboro, two sisters, Audrey Turner and her husband, James of Grottoes and Lynn Elliott of Maryland.

In addition he is survived by his devoted niece, Andrea Turner of Grottoes, a great niece, Angeline McCauley and a great nephew, Aiden McCauley, both of Grottoes.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Hospice of the Piedmont.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 961 Goose Creek Road, Fishersville, VA 22939 on Friday, March 9, 2012.

A memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Gospel Light Baptist Church, 809 Maryland Ave., Waynesboro, VA 22980 conducted by The Rev. Thomas White.

The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made toward to funeral expenses to Charlton and Groome Funeral Home.
